SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The Journal invites year-round submission for publication. Academicians, Scholars and experts from diverse fields with scientific approach to research may submit their manuscript for publication. The journal publishes Research Articles, Perspectives, Analysis, Reviews and Commentaries.

General Information for Authors:

  1. Manuscript will be accepted only in English language.
  2. The length of Research articles should be ideally between 3000 – 7000 words.
  3. Perspectives, Analysis, Reviews and Commentaries should be ideally between 1000-3000 words.
  4. Manuscript must be original and is not sent anywhere else for publication.
  5. Due acknowledgement is given wherever necessary.
  6. Journal of Social Studies charges NO publication fee.

While preparing the manuscript, authors must ensure that:

  1. The manuscript is submitted in MS Word format; using Times News Roman ’12’ in doubly spaced.
  2. The work is accompanied by an abstract of 150–200 words and five to six keywords.
  3. The work contains a title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology, findings/observations, conclusions, acknowledgements, bibliography/ references wherever necessary.
  4. It follows the APA Style of Referencing. Bibliography and Reference should be at the end of the manuscript.
  5. A double quotation mark is used, except where “a quotation is ‘within’ a quotation”. Long quotations of 50 words or more should be indented without quotation marks.
  6. Contributors provide their affiliations and complete postal address and E-mail address with their manuscript. If there are two or more authors, the corresponding author’s name and address details must be specified clearly.
  7. Addition or removal of author(s) after acceptance of the paper will not be considered.

Process of Publication:

  1. Once a manuscript is submitted, an editorial member(s) will determine if the manuscript met the criteria and standards for consideration to publication. This could take 2-5 days.
  2. If the editorial member(s) find it interesting enough for publication, it will be sent for a double-blind review process.
  3. Once the anonymous reviewers give their comments, the matter will be decided by the editor/editors and their decision shall be final and binding.
  4. Once accepted for publication, the author(s) shall be intimated and will be required to submit their Copyright Certificate (CC) and Plagiarism Report (PR).
  5. On receipt of the CC and PR, the editor will intimate as to when the Article will feature in the journal publication.
  6. Journal of Social Studies will make articles Openly Accessible. It may appear ONLINE FIRST so as to lessen the time gap between submission and actual publication.
